The Best Foods To Eat To Have A Girl Baby (And The Foods You Should Avoid When You Want A Daughter)

I get a lot of emails and questions about which foods help you conceive a daughter or a baby girl. The other day, I received an email which asked me "what should I eat during pregnancy if I want a baby girl?" I had to explain to her that once you're pregnant, your baby's gender is set. It is predetermined the second that conception happens and you can't change this once it's done. Frankly, it's what you eat in the month or so BEFORE you become pregnant that is mostimportant. I'll explain this more in the following article.

Pulling For The X Sperm: If you want a daughter, then what has to happen is that the X sperm chromosomesbeat out the Y's (which produce boys.) Once the sperm fertilizes the egg, the gender of your baby is essentially set in stone. As long as the pregnancy is successful and results in a birth, an X fertilization will produce a female baby and a Y one will produce a male baby. The reason that you want to change your diet is that an acidic vaginal environment willweed out more of the Y's and make your chances better that you will get a girl child.

Foods That You Want To Eat And Those You Must Avoid: Every food has it's own unique PH. Some are acidic and some are alkaline in nature. There are food lists that will give you the numeric PH of each food. There are exceptions to each food group in the pyramid but in general, fruits, meatsand dairy products have a high PH.

You should avoid most vegetables because their PH is low. However, as I said, there is an exception to every rule. While fruits like blueberries and prunes are very acidic, there are fruits that are uncharacteristically alkaline. Examples are apples, tomatoes, and watermelon. As I said, most veggies have a low PH, but there are some that are acidic. Examples are most beans and some peas. As you can see, Ican generally tell you to eat fruits, meats, and dairy, but that's too general to becompletely effective as there are always a good amount of foods that don't fall into the category that you think that they might. I always tell people that it's really worth it to get the food lists that will give you an actual numeric range so that you really know whether you're safe or not.

Food Is Not The Only Thing To Consider: You can also douche to become more acidic. And, there are also PH testing strips that will tell you what number you are starting out with. Often, effective douche recipes are based on this number. This can keep you from just guessing or flying blind. These strips aren't expensive and you can continue to use them to chart and check your progress.

You'll also want to address your timing and how it corresponds with your ovulation schedule. Again, speaking generally, you want to conceive three to four days before your definitive ovulation date for a girl. This goes back to the fact that Y sperm don't live that long so by trying early, you'll help to weed them out with both timing and acidity. You have to be quite accurate in knowing when this day actually happens. That's whyI like the bodily fluid ovulation predictors that don't require you to guess.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. QUESTION:
    baby foods?
I'm looking for other baby foods. Right now my son is 5 months almost 6 months old. He eats normal baby foods. I usually just get whichever brand is on sale. But does anyone know of any websites that have different food options? i'm looking for something different but I don't want to break the band either thanks.
my baby eats stage one and stage two already.

    • ANSWER:
      Gerber Stage 1 carries

      green beans
      peas
      carrots
      squash
      pumpkin
      sweet potatoes
      bananas
      apple sauce
      pears
      peaches

The interesting stuff (mixed foods in one jar) doesn't come into play until Stage 2. At 5 months, your baby may not be ready for Stage 2 yet.

  2. QUESTION:
    Baby foods?
I started feeding my 5 month old son the st step baby foods when he was 4 months old per his doctor. I was recently told that he could have some of the 2nd stage foods that are fruits (things that aren't to thick or have bits of food in them like the applesauce and prunes, bananas and apples peaches that kind of thing) I was just wondering when you could start feeding those crackers that disolve real quick. They are like gerber brand. Are they like 8 months or so?

    • ANSWER:
My son loves loves loves Gerber Puffs. I think he started on them about 6 or 7 months. They dissolve instantly. They really helped him the his pincer grasp. I would feed them to him also while we are in the store. It really helps calm him.

We have recently discovered the Gerber Cheetos also. They are awesome. He crams the whole thing in his mouth and munches away at it.

At about 10 months I started giving him baby gold fish too.

Edit: I tried the Gerber Wagon wheels at about 5 months and they scared me to death when he choked on them. They are much harder than the puffs are. Luckily, My best friend is a paramedic and she was with me. We had to do the Heimlich on him. So I would wait till you little one can chew really well for those.

  3. QUESTION:
    Baby Foods...?
At what age do u start giving stage 3 baby foods and what are the signs that he is ready for it

    • ANSWER:
baby has teeth, can handle foods with a thicker texture. Honestly I skipped stage 3 foods. Once my son was ready for thicker texture I began giving him table food. Its fresher and it made him adjust to the kinds of foods we eat as a family. I just cut up his food into pea size pieces and let him pick it up with his fingers and feed himself...it has done wonders for his ego...i can see how proud he is of himself and it saves us a lot of money!

  4. QUESTION:
When Babies eat organic baby food when they grow up, Do they have to keep eating organic foods?
My baby is 4 months old. My husband accidentally bought organic baby food(applesauce) and she LOVED it! BUT a couple of my friends say if she eats organic foods as a baby she will have to keep eating it when she grows up.

    • ANSWER:
Of course they do! If not they will spontaneously combust!

  5. QUESTION:
How did you introduce table foods to your baby?
My 11 month old baby wont eat table foods. She seems to eat baby food from the jar without too many problems. But won't take table food. I've tried bananna, potatoes, chicken, and scrambeled eggs. Every time she does this whole drama gagging act and spits it out. The food is small enough for her to mash and swallow but she wont eat it. I'm not sure what to do. I don't want to compare her to others but it seems like she is behind other babies her age as far as eating goes.

    • ANSWER:
First, ask her doctor about it at her 1-year check-up. I hate that answer, but there could be something going on where she's really having trouble with it. If you have a Handy-Cam or something where you can easily take video to show the doctor, do that.

What you might want to try in the meantime is to give her finger food. Let her feed herself instead of you feeding her. Cheerios. Small pieces of fruit (watermelon is great). Banana slice quarters. If she can put it in her mouth herself, it might help. You can also try letting her use her own spoon.

My son has never been a fan of potatoes. Never cared for mashed potatoes as a baby either. Chicken might be a little tough to chew. My son didn't like scrambled eggs for a long time either. You might try hard boiled eggs, and give her the yolk only, cut into small pieces.

There are my suggestions. Good luck.
