Need to lose weight.. please help?
Hey . alright so. i am 14 years old and 5' 3". i weigh 143 pounds . i REALLY want to get down to about 120. I'm not the best at eating healthy especially since i eat caf food a lot at school. i like never eat breakfast because i never have time and on some days i have an early lunch because of my schedule so.. like no point in breakfast. I only skate once a week so busyness is not a concern. want to get rid of the fat on my thighs and bum. lol. tummy is lower concern but still one. please dont give me any stupid weight loss drink thingies or pills. because parental unit would never allow. if anyone could suggest simple weekly/daily menu. and maybe a bit of an excersize plan. thanks so much.. all is excepted (except for the pills and drinks stuff iight? )
so.. i know i should eat breakfast the thing is i really dont like it . i dont like cereal, eggs, toast, and like everything else takes to long to make.. any quick and easy breakfast ideas?

My daughter is just about to turn 9 months and this is where she is at...
wake up 6-8ozs formula
breakfast cereal and fruit
nap with bottle (sometimes diluted juice)
wake up 6-7 oz bottle
a few hours later a bottle and a nap (sometimes)
dinner cereal, fruit and a veggie
bed a 6-8 oz bottle
my pediatrician said she should be getting 24ozs (give or take a little) formula a day and he told me that it's ok to start feeding her 'adult' food as long as it is something she can get down (no peanuts no popcorn stuff like that) you can feed them meat and chicken and even tuna as long as it is in small bite sizes. I have been giving my daughter small portions of our meals(maybe some chicken or mashed potatoes or mushed up bananas) or I will give her cheerios or a baby cookie as a snack... and a child should not have regular milk until the age of one.

Gentle, non-allergic first foods are: banana, pear, apples, sweet potato, pumpkin, winter squash, avocado, peaches, peas, green beans, and carrots (after 6 months because of higher nitrate levels).

We actually did pears first after cereal. It has a nice thin consistency, most babies like it, and it naturally helps constipation, which can be an issue at first. banana and avocado were nice because you can just mash a ripe one of the spot, very easy to make, so we did taht quite early too. Other favs were pumpkin and sweet potato.

If you are planning on making your own food and haven't already visited this site, you should check it out, its great!:

My son will never have fast food. It's bad enough that I eat it on occasion, I'm not going to teach him bad habits. The only processed food he's even eaten are some Cheerios.

Breakfast:
2 to 4oz cereal or egg
2 to 4oz fruit
breastmilk

Snack:
4oz juice
2 oz meat or cheese
Cheerios

Lunch:
2 to 4oz yogurt or cottage cheese
2 to 4oz yellow veggies
breastmilk

Snack:
4oz juice
2oz meat or cheese
Cheerios

Dinner:
2oz meat or tofu
2 to 4oz green veggies
2oz noodles/rice/pasta/potatoes
2oz fruit
breastmilk

Everything my son eats is organic, and when possible, purchased straight from the farmer who grew/raised it so I know it's local and fresh. I make all of his food. Nothing boxed, bagged, canned, etc.

please help - baby not eating anything?
My 11 month old baby is refusing all the solid food given to her. She would drink milk (but amount is reduced to 2 -3 oz). She looks hungry all the time and keeps sucking her finger. But when given something, she just tastes it and spits it out. I tried all means, all distractions, differenct variety of food. But no use. I have explained it to doctor last month. (her weight was little reduced - she had flu) She didnt mind my words. Even if i express my concern to others, they think its just like what other moms would say. But the true fact is She is not at all eating - Her meal for a day would be - 2 baby spoons of oatmeal or some rice and then milk + (1 spoon of fruit) + (2 spoons of mac & cheese)... please give me some ideas and recipes which would create interest in her. She likes to munch on gerber finger chips. But no nutritional food. Please help. I'm out of country, away from my parents...:((
